The purpose of the Aggieville Business Improvement District is to monitor and oversee the provision of services within the Aggieville Business Improvement District as established by agreement between the District and the City of Manhattan.

  • Work closely with City staff and Chamber of Commerce

• Working with outside entities that have a major impact on our District

  • Manhattan Chamber of Commerce

  • Riley County Police Department

  • Riley County Law Board

  • Riley County Commission

  • Fort Riley liaisons

  • Kansas State University

  • Manhattan Christian College

  • Trash removal from street containers

  • Periodic sidewalk power washing

  • Snow removal from sidewalks when needed ( above 3" )

Each January, the City of Manhattan bills each Aggieville business or vacant space landlord for their ABID annual fee. This represents dues and square footage assessments. These fees along with support from the City via the Transient Guest Tax, and Associate Memberships represent the total funding sources for the Aggieville Business Association.
